Fordism and verical integration

Fordism was a very productive way to produce goods
by

  1. making the product the same (standardising the product)

  2. by every one doing a different job (assembly line production)

The film industry could standardise certain genres and have a assembly line production due to

everyone doing set to do a particular job.
The antitrust laws in relation to film were to promote fair competition for the good of the consumers.

Vertical Integration

This refers to companies controlling all the means of production, distribution and consumption.
An example of this is Netflix.
